Camila Cabello Joins Bacardí for First-Ever Collab

Cuban-American Singer Camila Cabello joins Bacardí, the legendary rum brand, for a first-ever collaboration that’s promising to be the “soundtrack of the summer.” And, by the sounds of it, it just may fulfill that promise.

Cabello Joins Bacardí’s for First-Ever Collaboration

Under the Bacardí global “Do What Moves You” platform, Cabello is the new face of the brand.

“For the next 24 months, Bacardí and Cabello will be making frequent appearances together, ranging from concerts and festivals to broadcast TV spots and billboards in major U.S. and international cities,” Adweek explains.

In her first-ever spirits collaboration, the multi-hyphenated artist stars in a sensational campaign spot set to her new song “I LUV IT,” now available on all major streaming platforms.

As for her highly anticipated fourth album, “C, XOXO,” it’s arriving this summer. And Bacardí will be right there with her for its debut.

“To me, Bacardí is synonymous with the spirit of the Caribbean and, of course, good cocktails and a great party,” Cabello says. “The campaign we worked on is unlike any project I’ve done before. I can’t wait for fans to experience it.”

For the campaign, Cabello has also debuted a new look: blonde hair. “I feel like I needed to have a different physical appearance,” she said in a recent interview. “Something different to kind of help me channel that energy that I accessed in my songwriting voice more.”

The Song: “I LUV IT”

Cabello’s hot dance track, “I LUV IT,” takes center stage in this collaboration’s launch. Co-created by Cabello herself, the song is said to be an anthem for those who love to dance, celebrate, and embrace life.

On her social media, Cabello provided over a dozen clips of the music video, including behind-the-scenes footage of the shoot, filmed by Bacardi.

And, so far, her fans are loving it. “Omg I’ve been waiting for this era for YEARS!” one writes, while another writes “So cool to see behind-the-scenes clips! It’s such a great video!❤”

The Bacardi Film

On its website, and across the web, Bacardi has posted its latest film featuring none other than Cabello, dancing and serving up Bacardi cocktails.

Soundwaves from the song begin to pulsate from the radio onto the street, and eventually culminate in a communal block party complete with Bacardi cocktails.

The film showcases the essence of the brand, blending music, mixology, and movement. It’s a celebration of freedom, creativity, and the joy of living life to the fullest.

The film also features Cabello’s signature cocktail recipe inspired by the song.

I LUV IT Punch

The campaign celebrates Cabello’s fresh-new sound and style, unlike anything fans have seen before. Beyond the new creative, Bacardi will continue to support the star through the release of her new album with a series of upcoming events and performances across the world, all featuring the I LUV IT Punch.

Co-created by Cabello herself, the drink is a twist on a classic rum punch, pairing Bacardi Superior with some of her favorite ingredients, she says, including passion fruit, lime, coconut water and St. Germain.

The full recipe for Cabello’s I LUV IT Punch is below.

About Bacardi Rum

In 1862, in the city of Santiago de Cuba, founder Don Facundo Bacardí Massó revolutionized the spirits industry when he created a light-bodied rum with a particularly smooth taste – Bacardí. The unique taste of Bacardí rum inspired cocktail pioneers to invent some of the world’s most famous recipes including the BacardíÍ Mojito, the Bacardí Daiquiri, the Bacardí Cuba Libre, the Bacardí Piña Colada and the Bacardí El Presidente.

Bacardí rum is “the world’s most awarded spirit, with more than 800 awards for quality, taste and innovation.” Today, Bacardí rum is made mainly in Puerto Rico where it is crafted to ensure the taste remains the same today as it did when it was first blended in 1862.
