Recently, Edward James Olmos revealed that he was battling throat cancer<\/a> \u2013 and it has shaken the entertainment industry. <\/span><\/p>\n\n

Considering he is one of the Latino pioneers in Hollywood, he is someone that has become as valuable as a treasure within our community\u2019s history. Though he\u2019s endured many challenges, he continues to advocate for more representation in TV and film. The 22nd edition of the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival<\/a> is currently taking place, which is an event founded by Mr. Olmos himself. <\/p>\n\n
