In a recent interview with Insider, Lin-Manuel Miranda announced that the theme park division of Disney is working on a project for the highly celebrated film “Encanto.”

Miranda does not yet know the details but this is great news as the film continues to reap the success from its November 24th, 2021 release. “The Imagineers are on it, I don’t know what they do or where they live, but I know they’re on it,” said Miranda. He’s hoping that the theme park attraction can be developed before a sequel or a TV series is produced. He told Insider “It was funny because everyone’s like, ‘Will there be a sequel? Will there be a show?’ and I said, ‘I want a ride before I want any of that.”

Disney has already unveiled an exciting area for fans to go celebrate “Encanto” — A tropical garden inspired by the film featuring beloved characters such as Juliet, Isabella, Louisa, and Mirabel.

Even the most iconic and timeless ride at Disneyland “It’s a small world” will feature several short visual montages that will pay homage to the film, and will feature the hit song written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno.” It will only be a limited time feature so make sure to get your tickets now!
